Review Policy
This is a personal book review site. Each month, I choose which books I want to read and review. I do not review every book I read, although I do try to read/review every ARC I am approved for (see Disclaimers). My reviews are not always posted in the order they are read.
All thoughts and opinions expressed on this site are 100% honest and my own, regardless if I liked or disliked the book. All reviews are given a star rating, tagged with their corresponding GoodReads page as well as any associated content warnings. Note that reading the content warnings may spoil some aspects of the book.
I do my best to post spoiler-free reviews. If I do decide to include spoilers in my review, they will be hidden and marked as such.
Regarding Advanced Reader Copies - All ARC reviews on this site will explicitly be noted as such at the top of the review, including who I received the ARC from and how I received the ARC (NetGalley, Edelweiss, etc). Acceptation of Solicitation or ARC Disclaimer
Accepting a book solicitation or an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) does not guarantee a review on this site or any other review platform. I also reserve the right to decline a solicitation for review if I do not think I am the right target audience for a book.
Honest Review Disclaimer
While I do my best to only request and/or accept books that I truly think I will enjoy, occasionally I receive a book that does not meet my expectations. I reserve the right to post my 100% honest opinion - good or bad. To maintain transparency, I also include in my review when a book is an ARC or solicitation for review.
Review Posting Disclaimer
I do my best to review all books in a timely manner. While I aim to post ARC or solicitation reviews approximately one week before their release date, I cannot guarantee to have my review ready by that time, or any other requested deadline date/time frame. This is to account for any unforeseen circumstances that delays my ability to read/review a book.
“Did Not Finish” Disclaimer
If I accept an ARC or review solicitation, it is not a guarantee that I will post a review on my site or any other review platform. I reserve the right to refrain from finishing (DNF) any book I receive or accept. While I do my best to give each book a fair chance, if I find I am truly not enjoying a book by the 25% mark, I will DNF it. Most DNFed books are summarized at the end of the year in a separate post, though that is not guaranteed either. I will do my best to respond to the publisher or solicitor if I end up DNFing a book.
